Hampton Inn Sydney Hotel part of DP Murphy Inc is looking for a part time/full time Night Auditor/Security to join our award winning team. BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Responsibilities - Night Auditor
- Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay
- Audit and balance reports from the day shifts
- Schedule guest wake-up calls and reservations for the following day
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints as needed
- Answer phones and make reservations
- Run End Of Day computer functions, run Night Audit reports
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers, and upload all Night Audit reports in one drive
- Prepare guest bills for next-day checkouts
- Balance cash drawers and record receipts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Help prepare for breakfast set up, coffee, etc.
- Clean, vacuum, mop lobby, and other common areas, snow removal by entrance doors, (during winter)
- All other Front Desk duties necessary
Position Responsibilities - Security
- Patrol the Premises - Conduct regular patrols of the hotel grounds, including parking lots, entrances, and common areas to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor Surveillance Systems - Observe and analyze camera feeds for any suspicious activity and follow up immediately. Document all details of the situation.
- Access Control - Monitor the entry and exit points of the hotel, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests are allowed access.
- Guest Assistance - Provide assistance to guests with any security-related issues or concerns, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Incident Response - Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action and documenting the situation.
- Maintain Log Records - Keep detailed logs of all activities, incidents, and patrols during the shift, including times and observations.
- Enforce Hotel Policies - Ensure compliance with hotel policies and regulations, addressing any violations or disturbances effectively.
- Emergency Preparedness - Be familiar with emergency procedures and protocols, including evacuation routes, and assist in drills as needed.
- Conflict Resolution - Mediate and resolve conflicts between guests or staff, ensuring a peaceful environment.
- Collaboration - Work closely with other hotel staff, such as front desk and maintenance, to address any security concerns.
- Reporting - Prepare incident reports for management, detailing any unusual occurrences or safety concerns.
- Customer Service - Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security protocols, promoting a positive experience for guests.
- Shift Handover - Brief incoming security personnel on any ongoing issues or concerns at the end of the shift.
