The Energy Efficiency Services team delivers energy efficiency programs, incentives and advice to the residential, commercial and industrial markets. The programs are designed to help customers manage their energy use more effectively. Our initiatives aim to save money, minimize environmental impact, stimulate the economy, and reduce the load on our system.
As part of this team, the Energy Efficiency Services team, the Technical Energy Advisor is responsible for keeping up with the growing demands of the programs, supporting energy efficiency programs in the commercial and industrial existing building and new construction markets and is accountable for reviewing and verifying applications prior to payment. The incumbent plays a critical role in developing relationships with external stakeholders who can help promote the program.
Key functions include:
- Discussing the programs and energy efficiency measures with participants and potential participants.
- Performing technical review and verification of commercial and industrial submittals.
- Documenting work in folders and DSM
Our ideal teammate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial)
- Three years of experience in energy management / energy efficiency, which includes experience in energy modelling and submittals for code compliance or programs (including but not limited to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Zero Carbon Buildings Standards)
- Proficiency with Word and Excel
- Written, reading and spoken competence in English and French.
- A valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
