The Department of Justice and Public Safety is dedicated to the rule of law, the promotion of the public interest, and the impartial administration of justice and works to improve the safety, security and resiliency of communities and citizens.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative services to Registrar Services. These duties will include: reception, maintaining filing systems for the Divorce and Adoption registries, processing Divorce documents including orders, petitions/applications, ensuring all documents are prepared and sent in a timely manner and processing Adoption Orders.
What you will do
Duties will include:
- Client Service,
- Processing of court documents
- Handling of legal documents such as court orders under strict guidelines,
- Maintaining filing systems,
- Computer data entry
- Other duties, as assigned.
Work environment
- Office location: 427 Queen Street, Fredericton, NB
- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30

Need to have (their essential skills and qualifications)
- High School Diploma
- Successful completion of (1) year post-secondary education in a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years related work experience
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required, please state your language capability

- Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate administrative experience in a legal or paralegal environment.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
Wage
$1,816 - $2,205 Biweekly, depending on education and experience
