Service New Brunswick (SNB) is seeking an independent and self-motivated individual to join the Business Application Services branch within the Technology Services division as a Systems Analyst. The SNB Technology Services Division provides technology services to all Government of New Brunswick departments and Regional Health Authorities. With over 700 employees, we form one of the largest IT employers in the province with office locations in most cities and regions. Technology is often a core component to government services provided to the citizens of New Brunswick. Reporting to the Senior Systems Analyst/Strategist of Business Application Services, the Systems Analyst will play an important role delivering efficient and effective technologies and solutions within the M365 Educational Tenant and Power Platform tools.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • monitor usage, performance, and availability of services in the M365 Educational Tenant and respond to any issues that may arise.
  • perform M365 Educational Tenant administration.
  • configure and maintain services within the M365 Educational Tenant, including appropriate security and privacy measures.
  • provide clients with consultation services and gather and analyze their business requirements.
  • select the most appropriate technologies and services within the M365 Educational Tenant.
  • design, implement, and maintain Power Platform solutions to satisfy clients' needs and corporate initiatives.
  • maintain current knowledge of the M365 Educational Tenant ecosystem.
  • provide technical support and guidance.
  • use a variety of tools to aid in the planning and coordination of project tasks, including communications with stakeholders.
  • be a point of contact for ticket escalation with vendors/service providers.
  • work with various stakeholders (Business Team, Application Support Team, DBAs, other development teams) to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Information Technology with three years of related IT experience, which includes 2 years related to the administration of SharePoint Online in a M365 tenant. OR a 2 year diploma in a related field with five years of related IT experience, which includes 2 years related to the administration of SharePoint Online in a M365 tenant.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Experience with the development or administration of the Power Platform
  • Experience in working and configuring SharePoint Online and M365 environments.
  • Experience in SharePoint content migration.
  • Experience with School Data Sync
  • Experience in Microsoft Teams Administration
  • Experience in Microsoft Entra Administration (Azure Active Directory)
  • Experience using PowerShell, or JSON
  • Possess a M365 certification.
  • Experience with business analysis and system requirements processes.
  • Experience in the implementation of technical solutions in an operational environment, both technical and business.
  • Experience troubleshooting across the MS technology stack.
  • Experience working directly with Vendors/Providers

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Remote or in-person work opportunities available as determined by assignment and supervisor.
  • Some weekday evening and weekend work hours may be required on occasion.
  • Occasional travel to Fredericton may be required if the candidate is not located in Fredericton, and you must possess a valid driverâ??s license.
  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
