Job Description:

CUSTOMER

  • Provide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and machine learning across the organization.
  • Interpret the meaning of new strategic directions and set objectives and measurements.
  • Implement monitoring and feedback systems to evaluate progress and identify ways of making continuous improvements.
  • Gather and analyze information or data on current and future trends of best practices.
  • Seek information on areas impacting the progress of organizational and process issues.

SHAREHOLDER

  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area.
  • Ensure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities.
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
  • Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations.
  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience.
  • Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practices.
  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exists.
  • Lead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issues.
  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

BREADTH & DEPTH:

  • Work autonomously and is accountable for sound knowledge in a given AI/ML area and of various AI/ML frameworks, tools, processes and procedures, as well as organization issues, best practices and business/organization standards.
  • Sound knowledge of applications, systems, innovation, design activities, best practices, business/organization standards
  • Solves complex problems, takes new perspectives on existing solutions, independently performs tasks from end to end to deliver quality results and meet timelines. May work under guidance of more senior roles.
  • Generally reports to a Senior Manager or executive role.

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree required, advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience.

  • Travailler de façon autonome et avoir des connaissances approfondies d'un domaine particulier de l'IA/AA, ainsi que des différents cadres, outils, processus et procédures en IA/AA, des enjeux organisationnels, des pratiques gagnantes et des normes du secteur ou de l'entreprise.

  • Résoudre des problèmes complexes, examiner les solutions existantes sous une nouvelle perspective et exécuter des tâches de bout en bout de façon autonome afin d'obtenir des résultats de qualité tout en respectant les échéances. Travailler parfois sous la supervision de titulaires de postes de niveau supérieur.
  • Relever généralement d'un directeur principal ou d'un dirigeant.

EXPÉRIENCE ET FORMATION

  • Diplôme universitaire de premier cycle requis, de préférence un diplôme technique supérieur (p. ex. en mathématiques, en physique, en génie, en finances ou en informatique). Un diplôme de cycle supérieur et une expérience de travail sur des projets innovants sont un atout.
