Title : Emergency Management Advisor

In this role you will :
- Lead the design and development of exercises and support implementation and improvement of program elements.
- Develop exercise and scenarios (internal and external).
- Develop the activities and tools needed for team operational capacity planning and development in collaboration with relevant CRC departments.
- Apply, maintain, and implement emergency management standards and procedures.
- Support staff responsible for leading and coaching volunteer teams regarding team operational capacity planning and development.
- Mentor and supervise department staff under their responsibility, as needed.
- Perform on-call duty and participate in provincial and national emergency operations.
- Actively participate in the monitoring, documentation and evaluation assigned files and projects.
What we are looking for :
- A university degree or any relevant combination of training and experience.
- Applied knowledge in emergency preparedness.
- At least two years of relevant and recognized experience in project management.
- Experience facilitating committees.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (bilingual English/French).
- Excellent knowledge of and practical experience with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience working in a volunteer environment is an asset.
- Class 5 driver's licence.
Work Conditions :
- Most of the work is done in an office environment or remotely, and the incumbent must be available to travel when required.
- The schedule is 35 hours/week, but work hours may vary during local and national emergency operations.
- Possibility of responding in difficult, unstable (environmentally, physically, socially, etc.) and uncomfortable conditions that may impact physical and psychological conditions in the field.
