Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily scheduling and supervision of 120 school crossing guards
- Requires the ability to multitask
- Must be self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse individuals
- Possess good public relations skills
- Monitor health and safety concerns
- Conduct interviews
- Writing newsletters and notices to guards
- Conduct disciplinary meetings and letters
- Commitment to safety and a strong sense of responsibility
- Reliable and punctual with a consistent attendance record
- Ability to remain calm and focused in potentially stressful situations
- Liase between Paladin and the City of London
- Must possess a valid G Class license with a minimum driving experience of 3 years
- Must hold a current Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Must provide drivers abstract. No more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years
- Satisfactory Audiology (hearing) and Vision Tests
- Supervisory experience
- Able to work outdoors, in all types of weather
- Ability to stand/walk for most of the day
- Monday – Friday 0730-1630hrs plus On Call
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a scheduling is preferred but not mandatory
- Customer service experience is required
- Experience in roles involving close interaction or engagement with youth or children is an asset
- Experience in community-driven roles is an asset
