The Strategic Marketing Branch delivers integrated, technology-driven brand and advertising solutions to increase destination awareness across domestic and international markets. The Explore NB marketing team promotes New Brunswick's dynamic tourism offerings through paid and owned media tactics to increase brand visibility, drive visitation and establish the province as a leading Atlantic Canadian travel destination.
What you will do
As the Manager of Advertising and Technology, you will lead a talented team in developing and executing paid and owned marketing initiatives in support of the destination marketing strategy. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing, you will contribute to annual planning, steer program efforts and provide direction and oversight to a digital marketing team. Key functions include:
- Marketing Strategy Development: Deliver comprehensive marketing plans that align with the annual strategy to support departmental goals and initiatives.
- Advertising Campaign Management: Lead the development, implementation, performance optimization and reporting for integrated media campaigns.
- Digital Channel Strategy: Facilitate a cohesive and unified experience across all digital touchpoints with an eye toward technological advances. Includes oversight of content strategy, consumer website, direct email programming and technology services.
- Stakeholder and Partner Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners and vendors to foster collaboration within tourism marketing entities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop the Advertising and Technology team with a focus on growth, collaboration and performance.
- Research and Performance Management: Collaborate with the research lead on market insights and regularly monitor marketing performance metrics for informed decision making.
- Operational Oversight: Provide sound management of marketing budgets, contribute to departmental briefings, ensure compliance of corporate policies and foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
Work Environment
- Office location: Marysville Place, Fredericton
- Standard hours of work: Monday-Friday, 8:15 ¿ 4:30 pm.
Please note that this position requires some travel both within New Brunswick and externally, as well as work outside of regular work hours at times.
Who you are
You are an experienced marketer with proven success in building brand awareness through integrated media strategies. You demonstrate analytical thinking with an ability to deliver results through the right mix of innovation, creativity and research. As an experienced leader, you focus on mentorship and development to enhance team skillset. You're skilled at writing briefs and corporate documents, with advanced communication skills and strong presentation capabilities. You love to consume media in all formats, have your finger on the pulse and are the first to know what's next to deliver marketing results. Your drive for excellence, flexible demeanor and effective leadership will ensure success in this position.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds with a track record of leading campaigns, managing budgets, overseeing a team and developing advertising strategies.
Need to have
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications or related field and a minimum of six (6) years of related work experience which includes at least two (2) years of supervisory experience
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Written and spoken competence in English and French
- A valid Class 5 driver's license
Wage
$2,903.00 to $3,862.00 (Pay Band 6)
