Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Remsoft, a global leader in intelligent forestry planning solutions, to recruit for their Vice President, Product Development role.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President (VP) of Product & Development to lead strategic direction, vision, and execution of the product roadmap. This dual role will oversee the development and delivery of innovative products, ensuring they meet market demands, drive business growth, and maintain high technical standards. They have a deep understanding of cloud technologies and analytics, with a proven track record of building and releasing software products that drive significant revenue.

This role requires high-level decision-making authority and strategic direction-setting, with an emphasis on bridging the gap between product management and development. The VP provides leadership and mentorship to the department heads of Product, Development and Operations, and Quality Assurance teams. This position reports to the President of Remsoft.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Identify market trends and client needs to guide product development.
• Establish and manage the product roadmap by prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and client value.

Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging professional development and continuous improvement.
• Set clear objectives, key results (OKRs), and performance metrics for your teams.

Stakeholder Management:
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Product and Technical teams and executive leadership.
• Oversee the development of go-to-market strategies to support product launches.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, vendors, clients, and funding opportunities.

Product Development:
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Ensure products are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Oversee the deployment and management of systems and processes related to Security, Disaster Recovery, and software service delivery.

Innovation and Growth:
• Identify new opportunities for product innovation and growth.
• Drive continuous improvement in product development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and new technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team and support a product-led growth strategy.

Qualifications:
• Experience: Extensive experience in product management, product development, and leading large software projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud technologies, analytics, and software development processes.
• Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and strategy.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in product management, project management, and technical areas, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Project Management Professional (PMP), and cloud technology certifications.
• Good understanding of business and finance.

Location:

While Remsoft's headquarters are in Fredericton, New Brunswick, they are open to a range of working arrangements for this role. Candidates can work fully remote, in a hybrid setup, or from the office.
