Position: Summer Student - Mobile Kiosk / Sales Support Representative

Location: Moncton, NB in office

Work Term: Typically 16 weeks

  • Hands-On Experience: As our summer student Mobile Kiosk Clerk, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, support, and execution of our Mobile Kiosk. This includes driving the vehicle to and from events around the Maritimes, setting up on-site, and selling our full suite of lottery products while serving as an Atlantic Lottery Ambassador. Enjoy attending concerts and festivals like the Cavendish Beach Festival! You will also support the NB/PE Sales team with Retail Ambassador work promoting our new vending technology.
  • Skill Development: Enhance your skills in inventory management, cash handling, and bank deposits. You'll also gain experience in event coordination, including scheduling, accommodation, and rental car bookings if required.
  • Networking: Work closely with the sales team to ensure active promotions at each event and collaborate with our Digital Signage Specialist to keep digital content current and relevant to promotional activities and event themes.
  • Impact: Make a difference by aligning product-focused promotional activities with on-site corporate activation. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the success of our events and enhancing customer engagement.
  • Responsibility: Take charge of the mobile truck's regular maintenance, including oil changes and fuel tracking, ensuring it is always ready for events.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Prepare the Summer Schedule of Events.
  • Align activities with event themes in collaboration with the Community Sponsorship Strategist.

Driving & Setup:

  • Stock and prepare the Mobile Truck for events.
  • Ensure the truck is road-ready (safety checks, maintenance).
  • Open and secure the truck daily at events.
  • Complete Driver's Defense training (truck dimensions: 24.5' L x 8' W x 10' H, 2.32 tons).

Kiosk Operations:

  • Operate the mobile kiosk during event hours.
  • Sell Atlantic Lottery products confidently.

Inventory & Cash Management:

  • Maintain inventory and order processes.
  • Conduct daily inventory counts and handle cash/Interact deposits.

Promotional Activities:

  • Execute promotional plans, including lottery terminal and digital signage support.

Travel Coordination:

  • Arrange travel schedules, accommodations, and rental cars.
  • Complete travel expense reports.

Ambassador at Retail:

  • Drive trial of our new technology
  • Create awareness
  • Player engagement
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • 2+ years' experience in the retail, marketing, or hospitality environment.
  • Lottery experience considered an asset.
  • Experience working with agency partners and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick learner and problem solver.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel Requirements: The role involves driving a large vehicle (Ford Transit) and traveling to various events, which requires you to be 21 years old by commencement date, a clean driver's abstract and comfort with the truck's dimensions.
  • Access to a personal vehicle: When not traveling to events, you will be required to travel to retailers. You will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.62 cents/KM.
  • Physical Demands: You must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs, which is important to consider if you have any physical limitations.
  • Bilingualism: Being fluent in both English and French is mandatory, so ensure your language skills meet this requirement.
  • Background Checks: Be prepared for comprehensive background checks, including financial, driver's, and criminal records.
