We are currently hiring for an Engineering Technologist II - Environmental. This term opportunity, in the Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) team of the Regulatory Compliance Services Department, has full time hours for a period of up to 7 months.
As an Engineering Technologist II - Environmental, you will:
- perform technical duties related to water, wastewater, and stormwater services
- carry out technical functions related to administering customer education programs
- undertake environmental investigations, analysis and reporting
- ensure customer compliance with Halifax Water's Regulations
To do this job, you need to have:
- a technical diploma in engineering sciences (or a related field with an emphasis on environmental sciences, underground infrastructure management and municipal servicing)
- five years' experience in municipal/ environmental engineering
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation with TechNova or eligible for membership
- a valid driver's license
- the successful incumbent will be required to be appointed as a Special Constable pursuant to the Nova Scotia Police Act.
