Department Overview
TD spends nearly $10bn each year with Third Party (Suppliers). The Strategic Sourcing Group's ("SSG") role is to create sustainable competitive advantage for TD by leveraging this Third Party spend and the expertise of our suppliers, to meet our needs, reduce total cost and mitigate Third Party related risks.
SSG's role is global in scope and is comprised of approximately 160 people located in various TD locations across North America that collaborate closely with our business partners across the organization. The SSG team is in the midst of a journey, and more broadly across the organization, to transform the way we do sourcing, purchasing and vendor management. We have replaced our third-party applications with a best-in-class tool set that will generate efficiencies through the end-to-end Source-to-Pay process. The user-base spans the entire enterprise, including SSG, vendor management offices, business stakeholders, and third parties (suppliers). The suite is comprised of technologies that support the Source-to-Pay lifecycle in its entirety, including:
- SAP Ariba Sourcing and Contracting
- SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance
- SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing
- SAP Ariba Spend Visibility
- SAP Fieldglass (future)
- Coupa Risk Assess Third Party Risk Management
Position Overview
As Supplier Enablement & Registration Analyst, this individual is responsible for supporting the supplier registration, supplier enablement and catalog enablement activities as the ongoing business as usual activities, as part of the continuing journey of SSG's S2P Program to transform TD into an industry leader in all procurement capabilities. The Analyst will be responsible for both fulfilling Supplier Enablement and Supplier Registration requests with subject matter expertise in the Supplier Enablement & Registration team within the S2P Program.
Reporting to the Team Manager, Supplier Enablement, the selected individual will work closely with various teams to deliver ongoing Supplier Enablement & Registration requests efficiently and effectively.
Key accountabilities include:
- Managing all aspects of Supplier Enablement onto the Business Network to enable Suppliers to transact with TD to meet SE enablement targets and SSG Value Realization metrics including leading supplier integration setup and testing for CXML / EDI integrated suppliers.
- Managing all aspects of enabling registering suppliers onto Ariba the S2C module and as a pre-requisite to Supplier Enablement
- Support creating/maintaining Supplier Enablement & Supplier Registration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Training and educating suppliers and stakeholders, as appropriate, including developing training and presentation materials.
- Identify and documenting new business requirements.
- Conduct system impact assessments when prioritizing and reviewing proposed changes and enhancements.
- Support the release management and system testing activities when deploying new or changing functionality as it relates to the Ariba Network. Support documentation management for the associated artifacts (i.e., Operations Manuals, BRD, SRS, Test Plans, etc.)
- Track progress and metrics for volumes and time to register / enable suppliers
- Track progress and success metrics for Supplier Enablement in accordance with Value Realization targets
- Act as a brand ambassador for the S2P team and the bank
- Recommend and champion strategies to enhance the customer experience.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with key partners
- Support escalations from end-users for process or operational issues, and further escalate as required to management. Liaise with various partners and stakeholders in the resolution of issues.
- Support Change Management activities including the review and development of training material, jobs aids, and procedures for new products and/or processes.
- Provide analysis on large unstructured sets of data found in multiple systems, to identify gaps and opportunities as part of the overall data strategy.
- Support the development of employee and customer facing presentations to facilitate decision making and help deliver key stakeholder messages.
- Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Ariba, preference for at 1+ years of relevant work experience working with Sourcing Tools such as Ariba.
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of P2P processes and best practices including contract compliance, ordering, invoicing, spend channel development etc.
- The role has direct interaction with External 3rd Party Suppliers and TD Internal Stakeholders and requires:
- Excellent negotiation skills required at times to convince some suppliers who are reluctant to register in ARIBA.
- Excellent teaching / training skills to assist both external and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to participate in periodic system testing/upgrades.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand implications of key decisions on policies, down-stream processes, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and well-organized to manage large amounts of information and details.
- Strong commercial acumen and business judgment.
- Demonstrated influencing, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and analytics tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Visio, Tableau, Access and skilled in other data tools would be an asset.
- Working in a Canadian Financial Institution is an asset.
- Ariba Certification is an asset.
