Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the permanent, full-time position of ERP Functional Consultant in Information Technology.

Reporting to the Manager, ERP Delivery Management and Operations, the ERP Functional Consultant will ensure optimal operation and configuration of HRM's integrated ERP solutions. The ERP Functional Consultant has extensive knowledge of ERP best practices, business processes, technical/functional configuration, data models, reporting and systems integration. The ERP Functional Consultant will be proficient in ERP practices, and will be HRM's technical expert for one or more of the following ERP solutions:ription.
SAP ECC (Payroll, Benefits, and Environment Health and Safety Management)
SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Learning Management, Benefits, Payroll)
UKG Time and Attendance and Scheduling (UKG Pro Workforce Management, Telestaff)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand operational requirements, business policies, procedures and priorities, use of technologies, master data, etc.
- Manage operational support ticket lifecycle to ensure all open tickets are tracked, prioritized, and resolved within defined SLA targets, in a timely manner in support of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT Application Administrators and third-party Application Management Service (AMS) providers to troubleshoot ERP system related interface issues and escalate to appropriate stakeholders as required.
- Collaborate with AMS providers to represent business stakeholder's interests, support resolution of operational support tickets, coordinate enhancement requests, facilitate user acceptance testing, approve and facilitate deployment of changes in production systems, and monitor AMS contractual obligations and vendor performance.
- Implement ERP system changes as required, configuring software to meet the specific business requirements, ensuring that all components are correctly configured, are compliant with all applicable requirements and standards, properly tested and deployed to production.
- Participate in ERP related projects providing technical subject matter expertise, support creation and reviews of project deliverables based on best practices and industry standards including project charters, requirements, technical design, solution. architecture, test cases including transition of final solution to operations support.
- Manage and provide guidance for security profile management and segregation of duties within ERP systems, ensuring that roles/users are defined and configured appropriately.
- Maintain strong professional relationships and communications with various internal and external stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with one or more major ERP implementation projects as a core project team member.
- Minimum five (5) years experience working with and configuring cloud-based solutions (Software as a Service - SaaS).
- Strong customer service skills in problem resolution with in-depth troubleshooting and time-intensive problem-solving abilities providing a positive user experience.
- Presentation and training experience.
- Experience with user documentation and technical writing.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience with various levels of software testing including unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing test planning and test script development etc.
- Minimum two (2) years of project experience with demonstrated ability to manage time, priorities, deliverables and quality.
- Experience with analytical and performance measures methods such as process mapping and business process re-engineering.
- Proven ability to foster and manage strong working relationships with a broad and varied group of clients, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
Technical/Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities:
- Solid background and understanding of Application/Solutions/Systems architecture and system design concepts.
- Detailed knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, UKG Workforce and Telestaff and/or SAP Cloud software.
- Understanding of system integration based on common master data as well as event driven data transfers and schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage enterprise-wide information systems implementations and integration in a government environment or similar work situation.
- Business focused approach, including broad experience in service delivery and support in a multi departmental business environment and/or the public sector.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintaining deadline and a high degree of professional work performance.
- Knowledge of various System Development Life Cycles, Change Management, Release Management, Application Management, etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Consensus building, and conflict resolution skills.

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm; 35 hours per week. (Flex Time + Work-from-Home (WFH) Options)
SALARY: NU08 on the non-union salary scale; $88,690-$114,770
