Leads/oversees and contributes to the overall success of the CMCC Commercial team/ Commercial Banking / Automotive Finance / Agriculture / National Growth team in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leads and drives a client focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Lead and coach a sale team by providing direction, guidance and support to team members who manage a portfolio of high value/complex clients. Resolve any issues and concerns raised by clients and/or partners.
- Develop new and expanded relationships with national partners across the Commercial Bank and Automotive group to expand our current business and identify new growth opportunities.
- Planning and leading team meetings/huddles/business development planning sessions to ensure accountability and a world class client experience.
- Contribute insight and knowledge to business lines and product groups to improve the overall user and client experience. This would often involve piloting new concepts in a test and learn environment.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Do you have the skills that enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- University degree in business, finance or economics, or equivalent work experience
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, communication, judgment, negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Strong time management skills
- Previous coaching experience
- Previous leadership experience is highly preferred
- Bilingual French and Mandarin is an asset
- High degree of flexibility required to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
