Creating a Sense of Home: We are home to 108 residents. At Windsor Elms Village there are three distinct neighbourhoods. Each neighbourhood has four houses of nine residents. With such a diverse group of residents, you will find each house has its own character. At WEV, we strive to create flexibility that mirrors life in the communities and homes our residents have known.
Chaplaincy Position: We are seeking a Part Time Chaplain to work in our Home providing pastoral care to our residents, families and staff.
Responsibilities
? Pastoral visitation to residents
? Arranging and leading worship services
? Leading or co-ordinating Bible studies and other spiritual programs
? Palliative care
? Liaison with community clergy
Requirements / Qualifications:
? Theological/ Pastoral training / Be recognized by a church body
? Genuine interest and concern for elderly persons
? Ability to relate to both elderly and persons with dementia
? Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
? Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
? Familiarity with the culture of long-term care facilities
? Must be a team player - ability to work co-operatively and respectfully with all staff and volunteers of the facility
? Chaplaincy experience and clinical training would be an asset
Salary: To be determined based on experience
