As the Senior Manager, Retail Investment Products, you will contribute to the overall success of the Retail Deposits and Investments business in Canada, responsible for strategy, design, development, and management of Mutual Fund product to support Retail Investment and Mutual Fund growth objectives in the Retail Bank. You will also ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, and internal policies and procedures.

Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

Develop product strategy aligned to value proposition for prioritized segments

Partner with Wealth and Smart Investor Teams to deliver best in case client and advisor experience

Work closely with Asset Management, identifying & evaluating potential new products, product enhancements, and/or opportunities to simplify and amplify the product shelf

Work closely with Analytics, Marketing, and Retail Customer Growth partners to understand target segments' needs, and ensure solutions are customer centric and relevant

Identify potential pricing, technology, regulatory and/or operational barriers to implementing ideas

Work closely with Finance, Analytics, Pricing and Portfolio Management, and Retail Customer Growth to develop client centric public facing campaigns and investment offers to support growth targets

Leverage data and analytics to understand client, portfolio and market behaviors

Work with Distribution, Marketing and Analytics partners to build and maintain performance reporting trackers and monitor industry and portfolio trends to enable data-driven portfolio management

Manage and execute Mutual Fund projects from inception to delivery, including business case creation

Have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment under CIRO and internal organization structure supporting Retail Mutual Fund Distribution, working closely with all key stakeholders including Internal Controls partners, SSI's Chief Compliance Officer and SSI's Co-UDPs

Play a key role in developing and executing a multi-year strategy to grow Scotiabank's Retail Investment business by partnering with multiple stakeholders across Retail Banking and Wealth Management

Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

Post-secondary education in a related field; Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred

Several years of professional experience, preferably in product management or management consulting

Asset Management and Retail Banking experience is an asset

Thorough knowledge of the Canadian financial services marketplace and solid understanding of the Retail Investments space, including product offerings, advice delivery models, competitive landscape and regulatory environment

Strong qualitative and quantitative financial analysis and research skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including expert proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to create and deliver strong business focused strategic plans, and drive those plans to fruition

Proven relationship management skills with demonstrated seamless collaboration across multiple stakeholder internally and externally

Comfortability working in a hybrid work environment
