The Corporate Services and Community Funding Division provides departmental services including financial management, strategic planning and performance excellence, as well as oversight of human resources management and information technology development and support. It provides oversight and administration services for the Canada Community Building Fund, and the provincial Environmental Trust Fund. The division provides technical support and engineering advice to communities in addressing their infrastructure concerns as they relate to the applicable funding programs.
The Department of Environment and Local Government provides integrated stewardship through planning and management of land use, and waste management issues. It ensures effective enforcement of, and compliance with, environmental legislation and regulations and provides effective consultation and liaison with local governments, regional service commissions and Rural Districts on governance related issues.
What you will do
As a member of the Information Management Services Team and reporting the Records Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- providing advice and assistance in records management in accordance with provincial legislation, records management policies, standards, and guidelines;
- applying corporate and operational classification plans and using an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) to classify, file and retrieve records;
- providing front counter client service;
- Processing requests to create and manage new files;
- analyzing and verifying records for proper classification;
- assisting staff with information requests;
- organization and maintenance of a centralized filing system, including the EDRMS
- retrieval, tracking and return of files stored at the Provincial Records Centre;
- other related duties as required
Work environment
- Office location: 20 McGloin (Marysville Place), Fredericton.
- Office layout: cubicles
- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30 (office schedule)

Essential qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of a one (1) year post-secondary program in Office Administration, or in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience. Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Asset Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Experience in records management;
- Experience in electronic records and document management;
- Experience with SharePoint administration;
- Experience with project management administration.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage
ASL 3: $1,625 to $1,971 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week
