Summary

Position: Operations Technician
Location: 1 Highway East
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required. Must have the ability to work a variety of shift schedules including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, this experienced individual will:

  • Perform a in a variety of television control room functions to produce live and recorded programming
  • Operate and set up switchers, audio consoles, studio microphones, IFB's, and other related equipment
  • Direct live and recorded productions as required
  • Edit video and create on-air graphics
  • Perform ENG Camera work as required
  • Work with Directors, Producers and Anchors and Control Room Staff
  • Interact professionally with program guests
  • Assist with the co-ordination of studio undertakings
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Diplôme d'études postsecondaires d'un programme accrédité en télédiffusion ou expérience connexe dans le domaine des nouvelles télévisées
  • Un ou deux ans d'expérience en production et en diffusion télévisuelles, et connaissance pratique des procédures et de l'équipement de production et de studio
  • Excellentes compétences organisationnelles avérées et capacité de gérer la pression élevée et les exigences de la production d'émissions télévisuelles en direct, y compris la capacité de respecter les échéances tout en maintenant sa concentration et sa perspective, et de s'adapter efficacement à la nature imprévisible de la diffusion en direct
  • Excellentes aptitudes pour la gestion du temps, compétences informatiques, aptitudes pour la communication et les relations interpersonnelles
  • Capacité et volonté d'acquérir de la formation dans d'autres fonctions au sein de l'équipe Exploitation
  • Permis de conduire valide de classe 5 ou l'équivalent
