What you will do
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Property Services Branch, the Manager of Expropriation, Abstract and Document Support will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- supervising staff;
- administering the expropriation process for proposed highway and infrastructure projects as per legislative requirements of the Expropriation Act;
- providing direction, leadership and management to the Property Titles and Documentation unit;
- overseeing property title research, legal document preparation and government transfers to meet the Departmentâ??s property acquisition requirements;
- overseeing highway discontinuances and surplus property investigations;
- providing guidance, recommendations, and advice to Departmental employees, including senior management, regarding property ownership.

- Standard hours of work: Monday â?? Friday.

- Some travel within the province will be required.

Essential Qualifications:
- University degree in a related discipline.
- A minimum of six (6) years of related work experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience either with responsibility for direct reports or project management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Class 5 driverâ??s license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following assets:
- law degree;
- experience working with the Expropriation, Land Titles and Registry Acts and Regulations, or have experience in working with legislation and/or real property transaction.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

SALARY:
Pay Band 6: $2,903.00 to $3,862.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
