SOCIAL WORKER - ADULT PROTECTION SERVICES

The Department of Social Development is seeking Social Workers to work in the Adult Protection, Long Term Care, and Disability Support Programs in the Moncton office.
The Department is responsible for providing quality programs and services to all New Brunswickers including children, families, seniors, and persons with disabilities.
Adult Protection Social Workers are responsible for managing a case load of Adult Protection files, which includes conducting investigations, assessing risks, developing plans, providing support and resources, while documenting and reporting findings.
Disability Support Program Social Workers are responsible for completing assessments for applicants who require support services related to their disability, conducting home visits, and managing a caseload of clients.
Long Term Care Social Workers are responsible for completing assessments and case management for Long Term Care clients as well as participating in Adult Protection investigations when necessary.
Successful candidates will be required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff members, professionals, community and volunteer agencies, government departments and the public. Other related duties as assigned. Management may reassign the successful candidates to different program areas such as Child Welfare or Child Protection, based on operational requirements and/or priorities.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required for some positions, while other positions require written and spoken competence in English. Please state your language capability.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
In order to be appointed, candidates must be actively registered with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers and will be required to undergo a Criminal History Clearance, as well as an SD Record Check (under the Family Services Act) prior to appointment.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Some positions require working on weekends, variable hours, drivers licence, and having your own means of transportation within the assigned region.

Salary: $71, 370 to $87, 672 per annum.
