We're excited to announce a new opportunity for a Project Management Specialist as we continue to grow and expand our team.
Position Scope:
The Project Management Specialist will act as a subject matter expert on project management for both HANS and its subsidiary igility. The Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining the project portfolio for both HANS and igility, which includes creating a framework which enables the senior leadership team to assess whether projects align with HANS/igility's strategic goals. They will enable cross-departmental collaboration, facilitate effective reporting and communication to the Senior Leadership Team, and seek to design and implement standardized project management practices aligned with best practice.
The Specialist will play a critical role in supporting and enabling project teams to plan and execute on project by providing coaching and education on project management principles, proactively researching and advising best practices on the full spectrum of project management, fostering culture of collaboration among the project teams and developing the tools to effectively communicate status updates to senior leadership and clients.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification recognized by the Project Management Institute (completed or in progress).
- 5 or more years of related experience in project management, including experience in all phases of project management.
- Experience providing education and mentoring on project management best practices.
- A degree in health, business, or public administration or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Experience developing and implementing business processes would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of project management and change management methodologies.
- Business development skills such as relationship building and opportunity identification.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to align projects with organizational strategies and long-term goals
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative work culture aimed at effectively delivering quality services and a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict management.
- Experience providing coaching and mentorship to team members enabling professional development, and skill building regarding project management.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines within budget.
- Verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information to relevant internal and external parties.
