The Role:

Solutions Architect

What you'll be doing:

  • Iteratively design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance high quality software solutions
  • Create robust, high-volume applications that are highly scalable and extensible
  • Participate on an ongoing, active and concurrent basis as technical consultant, informing design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of new / packaged solutions or significant enhancements to existing applications to deliver the best possible application performance
  • Contribute clear and maintainable code to a shared codebase
  • Ability to design, prototype, and strategize solutions to propose to the team / Product Owner/ business sponsor to drive improved technology solutions that support business strategy
  • Participate in estimating, tasking, status and stand-up meetings in agile work ceremonies
  • Adopt / evolve team development practices such as coding standards, formal refactoring techniques, automated testing, continuous integration, etc.
  • Partner with welcome input and provide feedback to team members in order to build in a continuous improvement mindset
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain Core banking roadmaps
  • Extensive business and technical knowledge on Core banking
  • Mentor and guide the team to ensure defect-free and timely delivery of assignments

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 8-10 years architecture experience in creating and manaing enterprise architectures and solutions
  • 10+ years with host/mainframe development experience (COBOL, JCL, SAS, CICS)
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and is capable of multi-tasking and managing concurrent tasks and initiatives.
  • Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused, attentive to details, and a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can build and foster relationships with team members and peers.
  • Experience in the financial industry with some host development experience.
  • Innovative approaches to developing process improvements and solutions; ability to convey and promote these ideas.
  • Working experience with systems development methodologies and software development technologies, concepts and lifecycle.
  • Worked in Agile lab or used Agile framework.
  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent
