Port Hawkesbury Paper is currently seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Woodyard team as a Heavy Equipment Operator. This full-time position is responsible for the safe and efficient unloading and management of wood products in PHP's Woodyard. It requires shift work (rotational schedule of 4 days on/4 days off) and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.

Skills/Competency Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely and independently in a fast-paced work setting
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Must pass a depth perception test
