Applications are invited for the role of "Planner Support and Operations Admin" until December 10, 2024. Interviews are anticipated to be conducted on December 18th.

The Planner Support and Operations Admin is responsible for the data entry and maintenance of various records systems within the Distribution Design Department; including work package and order creation, planning and scheduling, work summary quality control and assurance, electrical wiring permits administration, and various monthly reports, requisitions and contact lists.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily work summaries and create work packages/ work orders utilizing Saint John Energy's software applications.
  • Prepare, process and review Work Orders (JDE), Trouble Tickets and Electrical Wiring Permits.
  • Schedule/ planning of all Operations work.
  • Update Street Light Database and Equipment Master Database in the GIS and JDE Systems.
  • Create statistical reports on work order metrics.
  • Reconciliation of 3rd party Operations invoicing for contractors.
  • Manage workflow.
  • Manage the assigned location and subsequent recovery of line cover.
  • Assist customer service during power outages.
  • Manage job folders for engineering & operations.
  • Various other temporary and or permanent duties as required or as directed by Management.

Employment Requirements

  • Completion of recognized post-secondary Business Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • One (1) to three (3) years working in an administrative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Saint John Energy's software applications CIS, GIS, and JD Edwards MIS system
  • Ability to Multitask
  • Moderately repetitive tasks, requiring high degree of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
  • Ability to deal with people diplomatically and professionally at all times.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to take direction as well as the capability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem identification and problem solving skills.
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills.
