Who you are
You love technology. You have worked in healthcare or other industry managing complex projects of various sizes for a minimum of 6 years. You have experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams, as well as understand continuous improvement concepts and change management. You have a proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications. You have strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills. Experience coaching and/or mentoring others would be considered an asset.
Education Requirements:
- University degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience in formal project management
- Preference may be given to candidates with PMP certification.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.
What you will do
- Coordinate and manage technology projects with multi-disciplinary teams of health care professionals, support staff, executive leaders, and various other stakeholders, including external partners and vendors.
- Oversee all planning activities, including development of the project charter, requirements gathering, scope definition, schedule development, human resource planning, cost estimating, expenditure tracking, risk management, stakeholder analysis, communications and change management planning.
- Take an active role in managing project relationships. Work with project sponsors, business/process owners, and other stakeholders to foster productive and effective collaboration across the project organization, determining stakeholder needs, and managing expectations.
- Execute the project plan, ensuring the project remains within its schedule, cost, and scope baselines, performing change control procedures when required.
- Monitor and report on project progress, manage risks and issues throughout the project life cycle, escalating roadblocks as required.
- Lead change management activities and coach business leaders on their role in managing change on the project.
- Formally close the project, ensuring the completion of major deliverables and achievement of business goals. Conduct and document a lessons learned assessment.
- Contribute to the development of processes, frameworks and tools to support projects and other key customer touch points.
- Provide direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring on best practices to other internal employees.
