The Department of Health is seeking an administrative assistant to perform senior level clerical and administrative work for the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Health System Collaboration Division, in Fredericton. This work involves the performance of highly confidential duties requiring considerable independent judgment, initiative, and discretion.
As the Administrative Assistant you will:
- Compose, format and proofread letters and memos in both official languages;
- Respond to telephone inquiries and coordinate information requests;
- Provide executive support for meetings and committees;
- Prioritize and maintain a schedule of appointments/meetings with appropriate briefings;
- Make travel arrangements;
- Provide secretarial support;
- Log, track, and compose correspondence;
- Liaise on a regular basis with the executive office and senior officials of the department;
- Verify, code, and process a variety of forms and invoices;
- File and retrieve documents; and
- Perform various other related duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma supplemented by successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary program in a related field and at minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

Salary: $1,816 to $2,205 bi-weekly (ASL 4)
