Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Technologist IIB is a senior technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab and is responsible for operating specialized equipment during invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. These procedures include, but are not limited to, cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty, cardiac biopsy, pacemaker and defibrillator implant, and electrophysiology/ablation procedures. As a senior technologist, the Cardiovascular Technologist IIB acts as a resource for Cardiovascular Technologist I's, providing clinical guidance and instruction, assisting with unit orientation for new staff and students. Performs other related duties as required.

On a regular basis when performing work on the computer, uses fine finger/precision work (entering information into computer systems such as Client Records Management System or Meditech) and occasionally utilizing gross motor skills when requiring strength and coordination for interventions with children.
Job Qualifications
Graduation with a Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology from a recognized/approved college or a Degree/Diploma in a health-related field with a minimum of three years' experience within the last five as a Cardiovascular Technologist I is required.
Successful completion of a Diploma in Electrophysiology is required.
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently.
Ability to advise and provide guidance to new staff and act as a technical mentor on new equipment and products.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
