SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

The Department of Health is seeking an individual to join the Public Health Branch as a Senior Business Analyst. The Public Health Branch is responsible for the planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation of the NB Immunization Program, which involves the development, testing, implementation, and on-going maintenance of the Public Health Information Solution (PHIS) IT application.
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will:
- Engage with subject matter experts to articulate PHIS business priorities and desired outcomes;
- Develop and maintain Process/System Workflow Diagrams;
- Assist with functional integrations and user acceptance testing;
- Assist in the development, review, and update of deliverables, including, but not limited to:
- Business Process Diagrams
- Standard Operating Procedures/Practices
- Functional Requirements
- Training Strategies
- Work Plans
- Business Cases
- Threat Risk Assessment
- Business Impact Analysis
- Contribute to and support the development and delivery of training;
- Collaborate and work with other teams in the health system, including Department of Health branches, the Regional Health Authorities (RHAs), other GNB departments, and partners;
- Provide input for best practice configuration of the PHIS solution;
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize process improvements, ensuring solutions align with business objectives;
- Act as a resource for team members to help with daily activities;
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes, review and coordinate monthly maintenance releases.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another related discipline
- Minimum of six (6) years of recent experience as a Business Analyst in an IT related field, or other related experience.
- An equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered.
- Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting a qualified candidate, a covering off appointment at a lower level may be made. In that case, candidates with less than the required related years of experience may also be considered.
Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates that possess the following asset qualifications:
- Experience with the PHIS system, or a similar health care IT application.
- Experience working with Health Care or Public Health systems.
Candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications, in addition to the essential qualification, in order to be given further consideration.

Salary: $2,903 to $3,862 bi-weekly (Pay Band 6)
