Due to an upcoming retirement, we are recruiting for a Manager of Finance to join our team in February 2025.

The Manager of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day financial affairs of the Municipality, including oversight of the budget, external reporting, debenture and banking contracts, the financial management system (SAP), Accounts Payable, and Payroll. The Manager of Finance leads a team of 3 direct reports.

What you can offer:

  • You have a Degree in Commerce, Business, or related with a specialization in accounting.
  • You have a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) or you are in the final stages of obtaining a designation.
  • You have 5 years of experience in the accounting field; experience working in a public sector environment would be an asset.
  • You have working experience with financial controls, accounting and audit principles, theories and practices.
  • You are able to interpret various acts and regulations such as the Assessment Act, Water Utility legislation, and Municipal Government Act.
  • You are a great relationship builder, and can effectively build trust in order to collaborate with your team, other team members outside of your department, community partners, and the public.
  • You are at your best when guiding, motivating, and leading a group of people towards achieving collective goals.

Annual Salary: $88,249 - $110,312
