Demands, duties, qualifications Qualifications: Must have a minimum of a two-year diploma in Therapeutic Recreation. Candidates must have current First Aid and must be eligible to obtain a Class IV Driver's License during probationary period. In the event no suitable candidate is found with the above noted qualifications, other levels of education, training, and experience may be considered for this position.

Please Note: If there is no suitable candidate with the required qualifications, the employer is prepared to consider interested applicants who has two (2) years' experience in a Health Care setting and are agreeable to complete the Therapeutic Recreation diploma within five (5) years' of appointment. These applicants will be paid at the rate of a Recreation Therapist I until such time that they obtain their two-year diploma in Therapeutic Recreation.
