Job Description:

The Integrated Marketing Planning team is responsible for partnering with the business units and channels within TD to create and execute world class marketing plans that drive shareholder value and increase customer loyalty. The team owns consumer insights, monitoring trends, building marketing strategies and plans, developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, management and allocation of the marketing budget, and measuring/improving in market results. As a key business partner, acts as a key consultant to the business on all aspects of marketing, influencing the business strategy, as well as ensuring that the TD brand is protected and delivered in the customer experience.

Job Description:

Reporting to Kristen Eyre, AVP of RESL and Business Banking, we're looking for Senior Group Manager Marketing Planning Business Banking to manage a team of marketing professionals in the development and delivery of effective integrated marketing strategies, plans and campaigns. You will be responsible for providing marketing thought leadership to the team, function and assigned portfolio(s). Furthermore, you will:

  • Lead and coach team to understand consumer trends, identify research gaps, plan market research, interpret consumer information for your business, anticipate customer opportunities and apply customer insights

  • Be the voice of the customer for all marketing and customer activities to convert business objectives into effective marketing plans. Execute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies.

  • Contribute to the development of business segment and/or enterprise functional strategic priorities within their operational area or field of specialty.

  • Provide leadership and approval of campaigns and oversight of marketing execution for all projects and business unit campaigns within portfolio to ensure strategy execution, appropriate governance and shareholders approvals are delivered.

  • Work closely with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and demonstrate TD's operating model to improve efficiency, effectiveness and scale

  • Build a team of marketers in all aspects of marketing. Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, handling employee performance and compensation decisions as required.

  • Supervise and lead a large and/or highly complex and diverse portfolio for an area of significant complexity, scope or risk, while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business results.

Job Requirements:

  • Expertise in Business Banking, including Business to Business and Business to Consumer an asset.

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required. 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience in data measurement methodologies, including consumer and product research.

  • Telling our Story – ability to effectively communicate the results and sell the value of marketing

  • A strategic thinker with advanced knowledge of multiple marketing disciplines, strategy development, line of business management.

  • A compassionate team leader who strives to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program activities to ensure completion and achievement of results

  • Expertise in project management and methodologies to handle projects with large scope

  • An influencer and negotiator to make an impact, influence and achieve results with effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
