As part of the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Project Lead is responsible for delivering comprehensive project management services and overseeing the capital and OMA projects. This includes managing project teams, costs, schedules, and risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Functions include:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of assigned projects, including defining project scope, allocating resources, and ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Take primary responsibility for managing Tier 3 or Tier 4 projects, and for technology projects, oversee Tier 3, 4, or smaller business initiatives.
- Prepare and manage project scheduling, cost analysis, and contract administration for assigned projects, while also assisting in the execution of multiple projects as needed.
The ideal teammate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related degree or a diploma from a 2-year technical program such as Computer, Software, Information Technology or Business Analyst or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience in leading projects in technology sector using software development lifecycle.
- Experience in key areas of project management, including schedule development, cost estimation, cost control, risk management, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint - Intermediate level)
Assets would include:
- Knowledge of Scrum or Agile Project Management techniques.
- Formal training in project management and knowledge of software development life cycle.
- Experience with Jira, other agile supported tools and ServiceNow.
- CAPM or PMP, or actively working towards one.
An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
