Summary:Position: Video Producer/Editor, Bell Media (UNIFOR 723M))
Location: 299 Queen St W. Toronto
Salary: Unifor 723M, Group G – Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). Overtime and weekend shifts as require
The Etalk team is looking for a multi-hyphenated producer/editor who has experience in content creation for broadcast and digital platforms.
As a Video Producer/Editor, Etalk, you will be responsible for the pitching, producing, writing, and logistical planning of high-calibre entertainment and lifestyle content that adheres and excels to Bell Media's standards.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and creative storyteller with a self-starter attitude able to execute high-level productions from start to finish. Impeccable pre-production and logistical project management skills are also required.
Responsabilities:- Conceptualize, develop and execute innovative, original content across Etalk's distribution channels
- Pitch, chase and secure interviews;
- Develop creative and narrative treatments, interview questions and scripts
- Produce, write and package a range of video, digital and social assets
- Field produce content and provide direction to crew members on location
- Complete post-production tasks for content, including the motion graphics and rough cuts, following Etalk's brand guidelines
- Effectively communicate with leadership and brand partnership team as well as external partners and clients
- Oversee pre- and post-production logistics for sold brand partnership projects, including but is not limited to booking and scheduling resources, calculating production costs, managing program budgets and revisions and keeping projects on track through precise workback schedules
- Ensure content is produced through a DEIB lens both in front of the camera and behind the scenes when researching and sourcing subject matter experts
- Other editorial production duties as assigned by Executive Producer and Senior Producers (e.g. specials, brand partnerships, event coverage, digital series, etc.
Experience working as a video producer/editor for a media company, agency or related independent producer, with preference to digital/social storytelling
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and/or related editing and creative platform experience
Experience directing production crews in the field or in-studio
Proven experience in creative content development and execution
Strong familiarity with Etalk and its talent roster
Excellent knowledge of pop culture, TV, movies, music, and both entertainment and lifestyle news and trends
Possess an initiative-taking, multitasking personality, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional communication and writing skills and experience dealing with multiple stakeholders
Proven editorial sensibilities with high content standards and attention to detail
Positive, proactive and a collaborative team player and leader
Experience working on video productions optimized for web and social media platforms
Familiarity with all major social media platforms and emerging trends
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to adapt and react quickly to changes
Capable of planning and organizing, setting priorities, and meeting tight deadlines for multiple assignment
- Degree or Diploma in Television Broadcasting, Journalism, Digital, Film or related
- Bilingualism is an asset
