Hours Your hours of work will follow the flexible work schedule in accordance with Article 19.01(a) of the NAPE-HP Collective Agreement, based on 150 hours in a 4-week period (by mutual agreement).
Salary
CG-46 ($59.45 - $66.31 per hour) which includes a negotiated wage adjustment.

The following Sign on Incentives may be applicable and can be combined:

Job Summary
This is a specialized clinical position in which the incumbent is responsible for the provision of outpatient psychological services on the FACT Team. The incumbent provides psychological assessment, formulation of DSM-5-TR diagnoses and therapeutic interventions. This clinician applies psychological knowledge and principles in clinical practices related to crisis management, suicide risk assessment. This position will be responsible for clinical supervision of doctoral or masters-level students as well as providing clinical direction and consultation to the interdisciplinary team and participating in educational, administrative and research activities is required.

While the primary function of this position is to support the operations of the FACT Team, the Psychologist III may be involved in assessment, consultation, treatment, follow up and support of individuals with mental health and addictions needs throughout various mental health and addictions programs and services.

This position reports to the Program Manager and maintains accountability to the Psychology Professional Practice Consultant for professional integrity and practice issues.

Regularly sits, occasionally works in awkward/cramped positions, stands to facilitate or teach groups.
Fine finger/precision work when on the computer and visual concentration is required when in sessions with patients (i.e. reviewing patient charts/notes, test and for documenting work, and when reading or researching information).
Auditory concentration is required in sessions with patients to listen attentively to be alert and to obtain and interpret information correctly. A higher than normal level of attentiveness is required when assessing high risk patients.

Job Qualifications
Graduation with an approved/recognized Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology is required.
Current and continuing registration or provisional registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board is required.
Graduate course work and supervised experience in mental health and addictions is required.
Clinical experience in the provision of comprehensive psychological assessment and therapy with adults in individual, family and group services is required.
Exhibited strong communication, program development and evaluation skills.
Demonstrated proven analytical, critical reasoning, collaboration, problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise and mentor students.
Demonstrated ability to effectively translate and communicate knowledge in the specialized area of psychology practice to others.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional environment and provide clinical consultation.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritizing caseloads and client needs.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a constructive working rapport with clients.
Demonstrated strong awareness of ethical principles and standards of professional conduct.
A valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 5 Driver's License and the use of a private vehicle are conditions of employment.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.

*Current internal Clinical Psychologist who possess an approved/recognized Master Degree in Clinical Psychology will be considered for this position.
