The Department of Justice and Public Safety is dedicated to the rule of law, the promotion of the public interest, and the impartial administration of justice and works to improve the safety, security and resiliency of communities and citizens.
The Gaming Control and Licensing Services Branch is the regulatory authority responsible for the licensing, registration and permitting of applicants under the Liquor Control Act, Gaming Control Act, Private Investigators and Security Services Act, Film and Video Act and the Salvage Dealers Licensing Act, Tobacco and Electronic Cigarette Sales Act, Cannabis Retailers Licensing Act, and Food Premises Regulation under Public Health Act. The branch is responsible to maintain and uphold the integrity of gaming in New Brunswick through the registration of suppliers and licensing all employees of the casino gaming industry. We provide information and education to the public and stakeholders on each program area.
What you will do
As a member of the Gaming Control and Licensing Services Branch, you will be responsible to determine eligibility for licences or registrations under various program areas. You will co-ordinate efforts with various government agencies and provide high quality service to clients and stakeholders. Through your learned knowledge of the Acts and Regulations within this branch, you will respond to numerous inquiries by telephone and email.

- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30

Need to have (their essential skills and qualifications)
- High school or GED, supplemented by a one (1) or two (2) year(s) post-secondary related program. Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required, please state your language capability

Nice to Have (their asset qualifications)
- Experience with Revenue Management System
- Experience using Canadian Police Information Centre database and Justice Information System

Wage
$1,625 ¿ 1,971 Biweekly
