PAL's business analysis needs have expanded to support current and upcoming business intelligence initiatives and divisional requirements. We are seeking qualified applications for the position of Analyst to join the Business Support and Analytics section under Finance and Operations group at our St. John's, NL base. This is a non-IT role where applicants must have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure a strong contribution to in-depth business analysis and report writing required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports using various reporting tools.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to plan, design and create reports and presentations, business models and dashboards to meet their requirements.
  • Liaise with various business stake holders for critical business analyses requirements.
  • Analysis of the business at a micro level through the aggregation of larger data sets into digestible reports.
  • Documenting and analyzing information and data to determine potential solutions from a business perspective.
  • Maintenance of business intelligence reports and post-report follow up.
  • Provide timely responses and solutions on day-to-day ADHOC business requirements.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing for newly developed data cubes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Assist with training end users on newly developed reports and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mathematics, Statistics, or Business.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge and working experience with MS Excel.
  • Working experience with Power BI, SQL and MS Access would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and apart of a team.
  • Aviation experience would be considered an asset.
