SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY :

Under the authority of the Clinical Services Manager for primary health care, the licensed practical nurse will provide direct nursing care to the patients assigned to them. Service priority is geared toward diabetic patients in ambulatory care and occasionally inpatients.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduation from an accredited practical nurse program and membership with the Associations of New Licensed Practical Nurses;
  • Must have successfully completed the foot care management course as per set time frame;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophyand organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
