Service New Brunswickâ??s Technology Services Division is seeking an individual to join the Project Management Services Unit as a Project Manager. The SNB Technology Services Division provides technology services to all Government of New Brunswick departments and Regional Health Authorities. With over 800 employees, we form one of the largest IT employers in the province with office locations in most cities and regions. What will you be doing?

As a member of the Project Management Services team, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and finalization of projects of varying degrees of complexity and strategic importance to the organization and its clients. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Defining project scopes, goals, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors.
  • Delivering project objectives and overseeing quality control.
  • Directing and managing project development.
  • Developing full-scale project plans and effectively communicating project expectations.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders.
  • Drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending budget changes.
  • Managing project resources and delegating tasks and responsibilities.
  • Setting and managing project expectations.
  • Planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
  • Delivering status reports, analyzing results, and troubleshooting problem areas.
  • Managing changes in project scope, budget, schedule, identifying potential risks, and devising contingency plans.

What do you need to be successful?

The successful candidate must possess a university degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in project management or related work experience.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Some positions require written and spoken competence in French and English. Others will require written and spoken competence in English only. Please state your language capability.

What qualifications can set you apart from other candidates?

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate the following asset qualifications:

  • certification from a recognized Project Management Association, such as PMIâ??s Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or PRINCE2â??s Practitioner.
  • certification or experience in Scrum/Agile framework.
  • experience managing IT projects across multiple organizations or functional areas and high-pressure environment.
  • experience in a government and/or healthcare setting.
  • certification or experience in Change Management.
  • experience in presenting to and facilitating varying group sizes and senior level management.

Salary: $64,974- $90,740 annually â?? Pay Band 5 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
