The Director, E-Commerce Replenishment is accountable for building, leading, and developing a team in preparing demand forecasts and replenishment for Sobeys e-commerce; collecting and managing master data; and implementing business analysis and reporting.
Here's where you'll be focusing:
- Own demand forecasting and replenishment for e-commerce at the category and SKU level to deliver e-commerce P&L
- Establish demand planning and replenishment team to work with merchandising and operations to optimize sales and inventory productivity
- Leverage Ocado Smart Platform system and tools to achieve targets for product availability, accuracy, freshness, and waste
- Manage supplier performance with respect to order-fill and on-time delivery, working with suppliers and category managers on improvements as needed
- Work with suppliers and operations to coordinate timing of in-bound freight loads to ensure optimal utilization of receiving docks and fulfillment center capacity
- Work with suppliers and operations to manage overstock and minimize waste
- Continually improve approach based on learning and industry best practices
- Own collection and updating of master data for e-commerce, including product data from core merchandising systems integrated with Ocado Smart Platform
- Utilize master data to analyze the business and adjust demand forecasting and replenishment as needed
What you have to offer:
- Minimum 10 years experience working in E-Commerce or Retail, specifically in Demand Planning / Forecasting / Replenishment
- Experience building and leading high performance teams
- Strategic thinking with deep understanding of e-commerce and retail industry
- Solid organizational, interpersonal, time management and problem solving skills
- Proven track record of defining and implementing effective processes and tools
- Experience using SAP beneficial but not required
- Bachelors Degree or a combination of relevant work experience
