About the Role
The Release, Data Courier and BCA Coordinator oversees the coordination of Epic environment release management, Data Courier administration, and business continuity activities. This role partners with Epic and internal leads to ensure successful planning, implementation, and continuity for the Epic environment, including a downtime strategy. The role is pivotal in aligning application, technical, and operational aspects of Epic support with organizational needs.
You are responsibilities for, but not limited to:
- Develop, communicate, and manage the Epic environment strategy, including data migration methods and schedules.
- Implement and maintain change control processes specific to Epic components and builds.
- Coordinate the tracking and documentation of update and patch levels for all production and non-production environments.
- Coordinate upgrade, update, and maintenance activities with application and technical teams, ensuring alignment with business continuity needs.
- Communicate environment activities, such as refreshes, maintenance windows, upgrades, and patches, to project teams and end users.
- Ensure consistent environment usage policies for build, testing, and training purposes.
- Act as the primary contact for Data Courier-related technical issues and questions.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Data Courier interfaces, including CID/UCI synchronization.
- Collaborate with application teams on import/export processes and master file migration across Epic environments.
- Guide and instruct application analysts in Data Courier usage and import/export functionality.
- Partner with Epic implementation leads to coordinate business continuity planning and establish a downtime strategy.
- Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary committee of application and technical support team members.
- Develop, document, and distribute downtime procedures, working with the committee to identify application-specific needs.
- Coordinate policy-making and technical continuity with leads from both Epic and the
- Engage additional stakeholders as needed, including those from hardware setup,
- Triage and prioritize requests and issues, working with end users, team leads, and Epic to resolve problems.
- Communicate problem statuses and resolutions effectively to end users and project leaders.
- Analyze issues, develop solutions, and verify that solutions align with both operational continuity and business needs.
About You:
Your Education and Experience Include:
- Post-secondary degree in business, mathematics, computer science or a related field.
- Certification in industry-standard, current IT technologies (particularly ITIL V3) would
- Required Training and Certification: Epic Training Track: Data Courier Administration and Business Continuity Essentials: Downtime Strategy and Continuity
- Minimum of 5 years IT experience, including managerial experience.

- Knowledge of performance management and techniques for monitoring and reporting
performance. - Awareness of privacy and confidentiality policies and guidelines as they relate to the collection, maintenance of, and handling of personal information.
- Knowledge of project management processes, practices and experience in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver services and solutions, under limited direction to agreed timeframes.
- Ability to lead the division operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting and business office operations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply technologies and information systems in solving business problems.
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
