Moosehead has a maternity-leave vacancy for a self-motivated, dynamic and skilled salesperson to fill the following position: Territory Manager based in Halifax/Dartmouth. The Territory Manager position maximizes Moosehead Breweries Ltd. competitive advantage at point of sale for Retail, Agency and On-Premise (OP) Customers. You will be a key sales contributor to the Atlantic Sales Team for Moosehead Breweries.
The Territory Manager is accountable for maintaining and managing the relationships with numerous retail and licensee accounts as well as accounts and developing new business opportunities.
- Working with our great Retail customers (Corporate Stores and Agency Stores): service and merchandise to improve placement at the point of purchase, increase the distribution of our expansive portfolio, identify distribution or execution gaps, and build relationships with store managers and staff.
- Growing our dynamic On-Premise business: prospect and profitably secure new accounts (bars, restaurants, etc.). You'll need to develop sales plans based on the unique needs of each customer.
- Through points above, deliver territory volume targets by maintaining and growing business with existing and new customers.
- Ownership of the territory sales plan: call planning, account planning, budget management, competitive intelligence gathering, manage business within acceptable ROI (defined by company), contribute to team based objectives.
- Champion education for both consumers and customers on brands, products and promotions.
- Through a can-do attitude and mentality of continuous improvement, work directly with Moosehead leadership to identify and address problems, challenges and opportunities identified in the local market.
- Responsible for all administrative duties including reporting (monthly sales, planning, expenses, etc.), forecasting, etc.
- Ability to analyze territory sales trends to gain key insight to make sound business decisions and strong business presentations.
- Acts responsibly at all times, concerning the consumption of any and all of Moosehead portfolio of products, and any and all forms of alcoholic beverages.
- Previous sales experience is a strong asset. Even better if it is in the Beverage Alcohol, or consumer packaged goods space.
- An appreciation for beer is considered a strong asset!
- You've completed post-secondary education.
- Strong analytical skills, including quantitative analysis.
- Must be able to work flexible hours - evenings and weekends.
- Excellent time-management and planning skills, with an ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be competent in the use of computer productivity software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Ability to lift 20 kilogram's multiple times per day.
- Own a reliable vehicle, with insurance & hold a valid driver's license (drivers abstract will be required).
