Representing over 70,000 individuals, Sport Newfoundland and Labrador (SportNL) is a professional non-profit membership-based organization that is central to the development and delivery of organized sport in Newfoundland and Labrador - for everyone.
To strengthen sport delivery in our province, in partnership with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, we work collaboratively with our members to provide administrative and communications support, as well as program development and training support, for all parties engaged in the delivery of organized sport in our province - ensuring they have the most up-to-date resources and are educated on the ever changing landscape of best practices for sport delivery.

Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Office & Facilities Manager is responsible for providing bookkeeping management and support as well as administrative support to the entire organization and its members to ensure that Sport NL runs effectively day in day out. As a key member of the team, you are responsible for providing support to staff for the various programs and services offered by Sport NL as well as special events. You balance your time between a number of different priorities to manage day to day office operations which includes, but is not limited to:
Accounting and Bookkeeping Support
· Perform all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
· Assist the Finance Manager in issuing internal annual T4s and T4As, and ROEs as required.
· Manage and track all employee leave (vacation, sick leave, and other leave) according to policy.
· Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and prepare reports for the Finance Manager.
· Filing invoices
· Act as the Administrator for Employee Insurance and Benefit Plans, assist with negotiations during annual renewals.
· Other duties as required
Membership Services Support and Management
· Coordinate registered members administrative services.
· Coordinate boardroom/conference call bookings.
· Coordinate annual insurance renewal.
General Office Administration and Facilities Management
· Handle all general inquiries received in person, phone, or electronic for reception.
· Act as the point of contact for all building related issues, inquiries, and maintenance requests.
· Manage and triage all IT service calls in a timely and effective manner.
· Manage office supply inventory and coordinate the purchase and supply of office equipment and supplies.
· Complete Annual Corporation Registration and ensure organization is in good standing.
· Coordinate Content Insurance Policy
· Manage and implement OH&S requirements to ensure Sport NL is in good standing and meeting regulation requirements (OH&S committee, policy, etc.).
· Manage board meeting logistics, scheduling and material preparation as requested by the Executive Director.
Ideal Candidate
· Bachelor's degree, diploma or certificate in business / office administration or related field.
· +3 years' experience as an administrative or office manager.
· Proven ability to take initiative and implement processes for efficiency.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
· Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication (oral and written) skills.
· Advanced computer skills, with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures
