JOB PURPOSE
The Electroneurophysiology Technologist 2 is responsible for providing EEG and/or EMG services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a recognized course for Electroneurophysiology Technologists.
- Must be a member of the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists.
- Must be registered with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalography Technologists.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electroneurophysiology Technologist 2 is responsible for:
- Preparing patients for E.E.G. and/or E.M.G procedures
- Preparing and operating equipment
- Screening tests and preparing reports for physicians
- Cleaning, inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment
- Maintaining clinical records and documentation
- Monitoring patients interoperatively
- Providing mentoring and support for technicians and other health care professionals
