JOB PURPOSE
To perform staff scheduling functions and other administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation plus an additional administrative support program/course of six to twelve months, or equivalent, and two years of experience
- Previous experience in staff scheduling
- Demonstrated proficient use of ESP
- Demonstrated ability to manage unit requirements for skill mix, staffing needs, and coverage
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
Demonstrated proficiency verified by testing in:
- Data Entry 4000 KSPH
- Typing (General) 35 WPM
- Excel 50%
- Outlook 50%
- Word 50%
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Staffing Duties
- Arranges for the replacement of sick, vacation or absent personnel for nursing units; calls in relief personnel according to identified needs; communicates all replacement changes.
- Enters work schedule, processes time changes for payroll purposes and assists in the investigation of payroll discrepancies.
- Tracks leveling, unit staffing levels and leaves such as vacation, sick, holidays.
- Responds to scheduling inquiries and requests.
- Any additional duties as required
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to providing the following types of support to Managers and Employees:
- Processing daily schedule changes, team emails, completed employee and manager forms, general inquiries, updating Kronos employee files, timecard entries, and shift filling.
- Frequent use and proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Outlook, OneNote, Word, and Excel), and other scheduling and administrative tasks are also required.
