Job Title: Cook
Location: Kingston, ON
Shift/Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wage: $24.30/HR
The ideal candidate for this role should have prior experience in the field and a strong commitment to ensuring the safe and efficient preparation, delivery, and service of meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The Cook will be responsible for managing and coordinating the preparation and serving of nutritious meals and snacks for residents, adhering to all applicable regulations and standards, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act.
***Red Seal Certificate or, Chefs training or equivalent post-secondary certificate/diploma in culinary management required
Job Description:
* Meal preparation and delivery
* Ensure Kitchen is clean and sanitized
* Demonstrated working knowledge of mechanically altered and therapeutic diets
* Ability to walk for extended periods of time
* Clean dishes, pots, and dietary equipment

Requirements:
* Red Seal Certificate or, Chefs training or equivalent post-secondary certificate/diploma in culinary management
* Three (3) years of experience in dietary services in an industrial or similar setting
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated time management skills
* Commitment to client/resident-centered service and care
* Ability to work at a fast pace
