Assumption Life is looking for a qualified Underwriting Technician to join our Group Insurance Underwriting department. This person will be responsible for gathering the necessary information to enable the pricing of new groups, and the renewal of existing groups.
The person will prepare quote documents, renewal documents, and also prepare special reports and charts for the underwriting team.
Responsibilities
- Gather and prepare quoting information received by client.
- Enter required information in quoting system as per client request
- Prepare quote documents and send to clients
- Execute reports and prepare documents for renewals of clients
- Send generated renewal letters to clients
- Prepare reports and charts for the underwriting team
- Process general requests (information to be compiled, research, other)

Qualifications
- Bilingual - French and English - written and oral communication
- Post-secondary degree in administration or office management, and/or equivalent
- One year of relevant work experience
- Experience in the group insurance industry is considered an asset
- Great sense of autonomy and initiative
- High attention to details
- Good teamwork skills
- Ability to synthesize, analyze and solve problems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word and Excel)
