Located in Ottawa, ON location, the People & Culture Lead is responsible for providing support to the daily HR operations for the Ottawa and Kingston Region. This role requires hands-on involvement with many aspects of HR including employee experience cycle, including hiring, development and retention of the security team members.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with branch operations to meet recruitment requirements within Kingston and Ottawa Portfolio in a collaboratively manner.
- Provide guidance to the Kingston and Ottawa Portfolio with direct support for the Ottawa Branch.
- Support management (Operations & P&C) in developing HR solutions and strategies
- Share knowledge and insight with the branches HR and operations teams.
- Assist in the provincial implementation and execution of corporate projects and programs within
the Kingston/Ottawa portfolio.
- Resolve issues timely with tact while maintaining a high standard of integrity and
professionalism.
- Provide functional oversight for a P&C Team Member supporting the Kingston Branch
- Participate in HR initiatives such as career fairs, community resourcing events as required.
- Travel may be required – Visiting client sites, and job fairs
- Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education and Experience:
- Completion of post secondary in human resources, business administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5+ years' experience in a full cycle Human Resources role ideally focused on the
security, healthcare, or related industry.
- CHRP designation would be an asset, but is not required
