The Role: We are looking for an Electrician to join our Digby, NS, Maintenance team.

Primary Duties:

• Work closely with the Marine Maintenance Supervisor
• Repair and maintain electrical systems on all equipment
• Work with suppliers to generate part lists for quotes
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair marine electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Experience in electrical maintenance and repair
• Ability to test and troubleshoot electrical systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Preference will be given to candidates with relevant certifications or post-secondary education in electrical or marine systems
