Description
The Department of Ophthalmology invites expressions of interest for three Ophthalmologists within the Surgery Program. Subspecialty expertise or training in any of the following areas will be considered. a priority:
1. General / Comprehensive
2. Glaucoma
The successful candidate will join a team of two ophthalmologists at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre (JPMRHC).
These positions will be fee-for-service and will involve one full day of OR time per week under local anesthesia, with the option to acquire general anesthesia time when available. Call will be shared among the group, with a 1 in 3 on-call rotation.
To be considered, candidates must hold a medical degree and be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Ophthalmology. Preference will be given to candidates with additional training. in:
1. General / Comprehensive
2. Glaucoma
All applicants must be eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador and must be granted privileges by the Central Zone.
