Assumption Life is looking for a qualified individual as a Claims Agent in the Individual Administration department. This person will be responsible for processing individual claims, including disability, death, waiver of premium and critical illness. This includes claims authorized by Case Managers as well.
Finally, this position must ensure a quality service to clients and agents following their requests for information or claims on Assumption Life's individual products. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:30pm.
• Process claims requests: analyze files, prepare correspondence (French and English) and issue cheques
• Provide exceptional customer service and an empathetic approach: communicate with clients and agents by telephone and email
• Produce and prepare various administrative reports for the business unit
• Bilingual - French and English - good written and oral communication.
• A post-secondary degree in office administration or management, and/or equivalent;
• Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, diplomacy, empathy and tact in order to establish positive relationships with clients and agents;
• 2 years of experience in customer service, telephone service.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel);
• Knowledge of individual insurance products and specifics is considered an asset
